2 HOURS WALK INTO MACRITCHIE RESERVOIR PARK

What a walk!! After taking bus 156 from Bishan MRT station, we finally arrived at the Reservoir after around 3 stops!
We started the 5km way (in & out) into MacRitchie Reservoir Park at around 4.45pm. Thank goodness it rained before that and the weather was cooling!
Just look at the beautiful reservoir! It is really cool to know that there are gems in Singapore! This reservoir is a popular place for runners and families! Definitely a great place for a short respite from the bustling city area!
Inside the trail - Killer slope!
After around 2.5km into the forest via the rocky path, we finally arrived @ the very famous "Killer slope".
It got its name from runners almost got killed (out of breath) running up the slope!

Too shagged that I want to eat our "tour guide". Hungry for Roti Prata from Upper Thomson & already started to pick a prata that i want in my tummy!
Down to the boardwalk
After conquering the killer slope, it is advisable to return to the entrance before the skies get dark.
One may choose to turn back and take the boardwalk to have a clearer view of the scenic waters.
Here we are, appearing a little shaken by the killer slope's gradient. Indeed, looks can be deceiving.

We choose to walk out of the forest via the boardwalk! It was a much longer path but the view definitely made it worth the sweat! Just look at how chilled we are (also a little bit of tiredness slowly surfacing up - Haha!).

Look at the waters behind us!! The shade and the breeze felt while walking on the boardwalk was just simply put - SHIOK.
Personal Take on the Walk :
Definitely a refreshing way to spend our weekend! Usually, my friends and I spend more time in malls, enjoying the aircon and whatnot. It was a new experience, climbing up the rocky path, soaking into the nature surrounding us. It is also a great place to connect with friends and catch up on life!
